ADCOM / LAHAB
Art Kalwas began his career in the ammunition industry under the guidance of seasoned experts, where he learned not only to manufacture high-quality components, but also what it takes to build a successful ammunition factory. His expertise eventually took him to the UAE, where he led the design, construction, and launch of the facility now known as LAHAB. Art not only built the plant from the ground up, but also managed its operations for four years.
Silver State Armory
Along the way, Jeff Kannada joined the team. Together, they established Silver State Armory (SSA), which quickly became an industry leader in producing premium brass cartridge cases. After Nosler acquired SSA, Art and Jeff launched Modern Arms International in Phoenix, AZ, where they focused on developing specialty cartridges and state-of-the-art armor-piercing ammunition in a wide range of calibers.

As the company grew, Jeff Hritcu and Garon Knudson joined the leadership team, bringing a new generation of expertise in automation, energetics, and advanced manufacturing. Together, their combined knowledge and experience position Modern Arms as the partner to make your next project a success.
