Modern Arms International’s 300 AAC Blackout
Modern Arms International has designed this specific 300 AAC Blackout subsonic round with our shooter’s in mind. We aim to produce a round that is accurate, effective, and ultimately inexpensive for our customers. Our .300 AAC Blackout subsonic ammo is loaded with top quality new brass, primers and powder. The bullet is a lead cast, polymer coated projectile produced by Leatherhead Bullets based in Idaho.
About the 300 AAC Blackout Projectile
Leatherhead Bullets proudly uses Hi-Tek Supercoat products on all of our projectiles. The Hi-Tek Supercoat is a heat set coating developed specifically for commercial bullet casters to provide reloaders with a cast bullet that performs better than traditional cast bullets. When applied properly, the Hi-tek Supercoat molecularly bonds to the lead alloy. This completely encapsulates the entire projectile in a protective shell that is self-lubricating. This proprietary coating contains no Moly or PTFE’s. This is not powder coating. The Hi-Tek Supercoat has been in use in Australia for over 20 years with great success!
The benefits of using Hi-Tek coated bullets are many. There is significantly less smoke than traditional wax lubed cast bullets. A fully coated bullet also reduces your exposure to lead on your hands, and in the air.
Leatherhead Bullets has developed this projectile specifically for 300 AAC Blackout AR applications. We test extensively to insure our round works flawlessly during full and semi-auto fire from carbines and SBRs, suppressed and unsuppressed all while continuing to be subsonic.

I picked up this ammo to see how it would work in my 16inch Wlison Combat 1:8 based 300 Blackout. I took it to the range to sight it in and launched 45 rounds down range without a single jam or failure to feed. It was very accurate, and shot well at 100 yards. Barrel is perfectly clean, so that works as you’d expect. The ammo is very dirty from a combustion by-product perspective, but that’s not really an issue if you are hunting.
